The End of Reason is all about Waiting
The truth is that I've been different these past weeks. While the soft cotton pillows witnessed the broken spirit laying on the used to be haven of love, a concerned friend sent me a text message cheering me up for the night's storm. I remained laying flat and recalled every single bits of memories. Why memories in the first place? Like now, I remembered my Psychology lesson way back in my college years. My teacher discussed that people who've been through difficult times may either push harder to overcome the pain or succumb to trauma forever. I beg not to have the latter.
Selective memory happens when a person undergoing so much pain decides to pick just the beneficial memories he/she thinks for his/her survival. Most of the time, these memories are the fondest, worth keeping and worth remembering for in order for one to keep himself/herself moving on.
Memories don't weather with time. These stay as good and as fresh as they could as long as you reminisce them. Good memories rekindle old feelings of happiness, love, hope, kindness and forgiveness. Memories are here to stay and prevent one like me to end all good reasons for goodness sakes.
So while we remain in the oblivious manner of pain and sorrows, our powerful mind is here to remind us how important it is for us to hold on tight to those valuable memories of our lives. Many people would dare to challenge their existence even cut short their good reasonings. Mind over matter indeed because holding tight to those good memories is equivalent to holding on to the promises of life, the gifts of living and the hope that tomorrow brings another good sunny day after all kinds of storms in your life.
Do you feel the same way? Cheer up for while you're leading towards the edges of your reasons, many people out there care for you and are most willing to listen and help you heal like I do. I welcomed life after the 7th day, I welcomed the opportunity and opened the door for another good flow of memories. We just have to wait...Life is all about Waiting.

“We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering - these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love - these are what we stay alive for.”-DPS from Robin Williams. Readers of this blog also read The Freelance Writer Online blog.
